With more than 350,000 people fleeing Ukraine in the past week, Choose Love is raising funds for those providing essential aid and services to those still and fleeing the country, including emergency medical care, food, shelter, clothing, legal support, support for the LGBTQIA plus community and mental health support.
During this beta period, there is a strong desire from all sides of the gaming industry to help the Ukrainian people. That's why several organizations within the gambling industry have been working together to create a mechanism where everyone can help the Ukrainian people.
A spokesman for the Ukrainian gaming industry explained: "Most organisations hire people from Ukraine or do business in the region, drink with them and most importantly make friends with them.
"The global gaming industry is one family and over the past few days we have clearly seen the sense of responsibility it feels in supporting the people of Ukraine, which is why we have launched this campaign that allows us to work together, make this easier to happen.
"After extensive research, we have concluded that Choose Love will be the quickest and most efficient way to use the funds raised to help those most in need.
"We know that many have launched their own inspiring efforts, but we set this up for those who are unsure how to get involved and which raise to choose for quick and effective support. By working together, we can also show that How the industry develops an everlasting force."
The campaign collects more than just cash donations. It also called on companies with surplus and unused promotional items such as power banks, towels, water bottles and clothes to send in to help aid efforts.
Many companies will have unused inventory in planned promotions over the past few years for events that have not happened, and this inventory can provide a huge boost to refugees who leave all their belongings behind.
